Samuel Haig Coverdale is founder of Even Keel. In establishing Even Keel, Sam has drawn on his broad experience as a consultant in the wine industry, both in Europe and at home. This experience has allowed him to develop an individual, yet versatile, winemaking style. Additionally, he brings youth, enthusiasm, and passion to Even Keel.

Realising the balance

To create wines that are balanced in elegance and character, Even Keel begins by selecting grape varieties that best represent their region, whether it be riesling from the Clare Valley, pinot noir from Mornington Peninsula, or shiraz viognier from the Canberra district. By employing both traditional and modern winemaking techniques, as each variety requires, Even Keel wines, demonstrate texture, restraint, and minerality, distinctive to a particular region.
